Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it: that's the takeaway for some border residents who voted for Donald Trump in last November's presidential elections, despite his loud-and-clear promises to build a “great, great wall” in their communities.

Now, confronted by the administration's overall steam-roller approach to negotiations and Trump's demonstrated disregard for their interests, landowners along the U.S.-Mexico border are pledging “resistance” to a wall that will bisect their properties and, in some cases, has already pushed their estates into Mexican territory.
