Hiring more unaccountable agents is dangerous, misguided, and unjustified.

Some in Congress want to leverage the safety of Dreamers, in exchange for militarizing our communities by hiring more potentially abusive and corrupt Border Patrol agents while further militarizing the southern border.

That’s a mistake. 1 in 5 Dreamers live in border counties. More armed agents will threaten them and their families, as well as millions in the border region and up to 100 miles from the land and sea borders, an area that includes 2/3 of the U.S. population. The infographic is below:
