Students protest Border Patrol, Chick-fil-A

 — Dozens of MiraCosta College students protested the presence of U.S. Border Patrol recruiters and the fast food chain Chick-fil-A on campus Thursday afternoon.

The peaceful demonstration included students from three clubs and a Mexican-American history class who carried signs that read “Human rights for all,” “Undocumented and afraid,” and other slogans.

The protest at the Oceanside campus was held during the noontime College Hour, a regular Thursday event that features student activities.
